PAX West is a three-day gaming convention being held in Seattle, WA from September 3- 6, 2017. Held since 2010, PAX has become an important annual event for those in the gaming community, and has grown to be the largest gaming event in the U.S. with the attendance of over 50,000 attendees.
PAX West, the two-week indie showcase, is coming up on September 2-4, and will be held in Seattle, Washington. This year’s show is the biggest yet, with a record-breaking number of over 4,000 indie developers and exhibitors. This year’s theme is “The Next Chapter”, and the Expo Hall will be packed full of games across all genres, from 2D and portable, to 3D and console.
Starting August 31st, the Internet will be in a state of panic as rumors of an apocalypse quickly spread across the web. Rumors about a failing financial system, world wide economic collapse, a nuclear weapon tipped iceberg, and finally the apocalypse itself, will take the most die-hard rumor-mongers by surprise. On September 3rd, the second annual PAX(IFIC) West will be taking place, and will feature gaming and technology of all kinds, such as VR, eSports, and cosplay.
The first major in-person gaming event in over a year, PAX West returns from the 3rd to the 6th. September 2021: return to the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle.
ReedPop, the team behind the event, said the show’s organizers are working with venue officials, local authorities and health officials. Factors such as limiting the capacity of the event were taken into account to ensure a safe environment for all. They stated that detailed health and safety guidelines will be issued before PAX West 2021.
According to Jerry Holkins, co-founder of Penny Arcade and PAX:
It’s been almost two years since the last PAX West, and the idea of a triumphant return was just unrealistic. I can’t think of a better reason to get out of the house than PAX West.
Four-day badges for PAX West 2021 cost $230, and individual badges for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday are on sale for $60 each.
