No Longer Home Coming July 30

While it’s a bit early to start thinking about summer vacations, it’s never too early to start looking for a new home. If you’re on your way to a new place, you’ve got to make sure your things are ready to be moved. Whether you’re moving from your old stomping grounds to a new city, or getting ready to move in with your significant other, there’s a lot of work to do. Luckily, there are multiple options for people looking for a new place to call home: rent, buy, or just find a temporary stay in a hotel.

We have a lot of awesome things happening with Earth and Stars here on the blog, so if you haven’t joined in on the fun yet, we highly recommend that you do!

It’s that time of year again: July 30. It’s the day that teens and young adults get their driver’s license. This is also the day that these young people move out on their own for the first time. It’s a milestone for most, but for others it’s a major milestone and a point of great stress.

No-Longer-Home-Gamers-Heroes Fellow Traveller and Humble Grove’s No Longer Home, a semi-autobiographical game about relationships, daily living, and saying farewell, will be released on July 30, 2021.

Players take on the roles of queer, non-binary students Ao and Bo, who just graduated and intend to leave the apartment they’ve shared for the last year. Players will get to know their new multi-eyed roommate Lu as they explore their apartment, all while discovering magic in ordinary situations.

The film No Longer Home will be released on July 30th.

According to Cel Davison (they/them), Lead Writer & Cinematographer:

“The narrative revolves on the ideas of precarity and identity. The events in the game are based on our personal experiences, which occurred at a period when we were disillusioned with post-university life and unsure of what to do next. No Longer Home is about discovering our position in the world and marveling at the mundane.”

Hana Lee (they/them), Lead Artist & Animator added:

“Unfortunately, owing to visa limitations, I had to return to Japan after graduation. Cel and I created the game as a means to keep in contact, to explore and convey the feelings that come with parting goodbye.”

The game will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, Humble, and GOG.com on PC.
