Crowfall is a hardcore PvP MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) that recently went into open beta. To celebrate, it has launched a new Recruit-a-Friend promotion. Three lucky Crowfall players have the opportunity to receive a free one-month subscription to the game, and three lucky Crowfall fans have the opportunity to score a free six-month subscription.
Today, Garena is giving away free Crowfall gametime to its players, and the company has also announced three new ways to support the game. Beginning today, players will get 50% off all extensions in the game, a 50% discount on the Gem Store, and the opportunity to earn free Crowfall gametime from the Crowfall Recruitment System.
Crowfall is a turn-based fantasy MMORPG currently in development. The project is led by Ragnar Tornquist, who also co-founded the development studio crows. There are plenty of reasons to check it out: it’s free-to-play, it’s built on the CryEngine, it’s based on a tabletop RPG, and it’s starting to offer a bunch of one-time and recurring in-game promotions to make the game more accessible to new players.
This may come as no surprise to anybody who participated in Crowfall’s pre-launch recruitment campaigns, but it’s worth mentioning that the live game is also running a promotion to attract new players. “All Crowfall players may utilize their own CrowLink (Crowfall.com/join/displayname) to ask friends to join you in Crowfall starting today,” explains ArtCraft.
“Friends who join between Friday, July 30 and Sunday, September 12, 2021, will get 10-days of free Crowfall game access as well as a 25% discount on any Game Pack purchase! This is a fantastic chance to strengthen your Guild and increase the size of your combat force! Crow Recruits who join with your CrowLink (or add it to an existing account without game pack/access) will get 10-Days of unlimited Crowfall game access starting from the date they activate the account (or the date the CrowLink is activated on an existing account) – plus, a 25% discount will be waiting at Checkout when your friend *purchases the game. Your Crow Recruits must activate their account on our site by Sunday, September 12, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. CDT (6:59 a.m. CEST), and utilize their discount before September 30, 2021.”
Crowfall was released in July, and it sparked concerns about its tiny playerbase, to which it reacted by… concealing its player counts. ArtCraft, on the other hand, had delayed marketing until the end of July, and this campaign seems to be part of that effort. The Shadow, the game’s next update, which features a RvRvR playstyle, is presently being tested.

The Crowfall team wants to make sure that everyone who wants to play the game can do so regardless of how much they’ve contributed or how long they plan to play. In order to keep Crowfall accessible to as many players as possible, they’ve introduced a new promotion where new players can get free lifetime access to the game with a subscription. This means that even if they decide to leave the game before they have spent all their free accounts on premium features, they won’t lose access to the game.
