Zharkov: The Vortex Now in Everspace 2

The Earth is a treacherous place, and many have sought to escape it. Many brave souls have ventured into space, and they have found great success, as they’ve found freedom from life on the Earth. But others, in the hopes of finding a life of luxury have sought to leave the Earth’s atmosphere. These brave souls have ventured into the stars, and they have learned to fly. And they have learned to fly well.

Everspace 2 is a space combat simulation video game developed by the Swedish studio Sandbox Interactive in collaboration with the German developer Wayward Pixels. After the release of the first episode in 2017, the game was expanded in size to include more than 30 new missions, with more than 20 new ships, nine space stations, and 10 new objectives.

Zharkov lives in Everspace, a game world with a unique spin on sci-fi elements. Players can explore the universe and trade with aliens, but Zharkov is not from Everspace—he’s actually from 20 years in the past on the “Everspace Chronos” in a parallel universe. After a day in the game, he is abruptly transferred to his original universe—nightmare turned into reality.

Everspace-2-Zharkov-the-Vortex-Gamers-Heroes Zharkov: The Vortex, the second major Early Access update for ROCKFISH Games’ Everspace 2, is now available.

Packed with new locations, environments, and star bases to discover, this gas cloud area is rife with lightning storms, ruined hulks, and strong enemies. Players will take control of former clone pilot Adam as they take a deep dive into the dealings of the Grady & Brunt mining operation. Along the way, players will uncover secrets leading to mysteries of The Ancients and will discover how the factions in the game are interconnected.

Players will navigate a remote-controlled maintenance drone through tight tunnels, passing past laser security barriers unnoticed to prevent an inside job from going bad in one part of this update. Tareen, an Okkar merchant, will also join the list of companions, bringing with him certain benefits.
