Windows 11 brings a smoother gaming experience, with more FPS

Windows 10 brought a lot of changes to the Windows 10 operating system, but it removed dramatic differences between the desktop and tablet versions of Windows. But that’s all about to change in the next version of Windows, codenamed Windows 11. Microsoft is adding a new feature called “Cortana” to Windows that will bring even more functionality to the desktop. The changes will bring a smoother gaming experience with more frames per second on games, and more control over the desktop that will be more responsive than previous versions.

Windows 10 was a bold move from Microsoft towards the future of computing, yet despite being more flexible and versatile, it still failed to satisfy the needs of gamers. People still hasted for Windows 7 or 8, while the gaming community preferred Windows 7 or 8.1. Windows 10 aimed to make Windows a better gaming platform, but it also introduced features that improved the overall user experience. For instance, the snapping feature in Windows 10 allows users to snap parts of the screen as a whole, which in turn increases overall screen real estate and responsiveness. In addition, the Windows 10 Store includes a huge number of games for both Windows 10 and Xbox One.

  • Windows 11 users were very excited to test some of the current video games on this first version of the operating system.
  • Currently, gamers have discovered that many games that ran on Windows 10 also run on Windows 11, but better.
  • After testing some of the latest resource-intensive games, users say Windows 11 is much better for gaming.
  • Microsoft may be about to release a more game-friendly version of the operating system that allows for more efficient use of resources and memory.

While users are busy trying out everything the new operating system has to offer, there is one question most of them would like to see answered. Will games be smoother on Windows 11? Apparently, based on community feedback, video games run better on this first version, even better than on Windows 10.

How do games work on an early version of Windows 11?

Social media platforms were taken by storm. Users want to share their Windows 11 gaming experience with the world. While some people think that this first version of the operating system can’t support games because it doesn’t even have a Microsoft Store, others have tried it and were pleased with the results. As we mentioned earlier, Windows 11 is smoother and faster than its predecessor, so it’s no surprise that games run better on this improved OS. Among the games that users have tried out on the new version of the operating system are Minecraft, Far Cry or Crash 4. However, most gamers were interested in the newer, more demanding games that required a higher configuration. I have tested MW 2019 and BOCW and both run at 60fps locked, due to the way I run vsync I now only have 60 hz panels. And they both play much better than they do on Windows 10. Like one Reddit user, who has tried both Call Of Duty Modern Warfare and Black Ops: Cold War, he was more than impressed. Not only did the games work on Windows 11, they worked much better than on the previous version of the operating system.

Windows 11 could revolutionise PC gaming

Although none of the Microsoft officials mentioned it, we can conclude that developers will spend a lot of time improving the gameplay of Windows 11. Video games are becoming more realistic and consume a lot of RAM. Besides a powerful processor and a modern graphics processor, the user definitely needs a reliable and stable operating system to play such games. Perhaps in the future we will see unprecedented game specifications for Windows 11, perhaps even a special version with other improvements, including more efficient use of resources and memory. Microsoft is also improving the integration of the Xbox into Windows 11. The Xbox Game Bar and Windows Game Mode remain the same as in Windows 10 in this first leak. Now it’s waiting for the big reveal from Microsoft, which will let users around the world know what it’s up to with Windows 11. What games do you want to try on Windows 11?
