Sonic the Hedgehog is a bit of a confusing character in the gaming world. He is a fairly well-known character, but not the biggest or most recognizable. That title instead goes to Mario. Sonic has appeared in a lot of video games, though he is basically always in a race with Mario.
SEGA and Mojang have released the first paid DLC for Minecraft, it is called Sonic the Hedgehog, and it will be included in the next update, for now it is only available for Minecraft for Android. The Sonic the Hedgehog DLC will be available for purchase in the respective Minecraft purchasing stores, which will be announced soon.

Fans of the Blue Blur can celebrate Sonic’s 30th birthday with the game’s latest DLC, available today on the Minecraft Marketplace. With this DLC, players can explore the Green Hill area and the chemical plant, collect rings, dodge obstacles, defeat bosses and get a high score.
The Character Creator item will be available for free in the Minecraft marketplace. Fans can also celebrate Sonic’s birthday by participating in a special event on the server. The Hive will soon be hosting a two-week server takeover with mini-games and surprises.
