As the new age of space exploration dawns, many are eager to see how future human space missions might unfold. This August, Ship of Heroes will be releasing a beta event for those interested in the future of mankind on the moon.
Early August will see the Ship of Heroes beta event, an arena-based online squad game for Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Empires II players who want to take part in tactical squad-based action. Players will be able to test their skills in a series of four two-hour matches on the Warhammer 40k: Inquisitor – Martyr (PC) and Age of Empires 2: The Conquerors (PC) game engines in a variety of special missions.

As we previously reported, Ship of Heroes will begin a limited-time beta in August, which will feature, among other things, certain objectives for players to complete. What sort of missions are they, though? Well, if you’re a curious superhero, the developers at Heroic Games have written the perfect preview for you.
There will be three types of missions accessible during the beta test: a narrative arc quest, two challenge missions, and three holiday missions. The narrative arc task, which is believed to comprise the core of the test’s material, takes up the majority of the post’s time. Players will be led to Iris the Great, the Mages’ Guild’s archmage, and will be battling with a faction of mages known as the Red Sigil, who resist her rule, in this narrative arc. According to the article, this quest offers a lot of replayability, with three possible end objectives in the arc and badges to win for making specific decisions. Alternatively, you may choose from all the options.
Aside from the Iris Arc, the two challenge missions will mainly focus on fighting and providing a severe challenge (thus the mission type’s name), while the holiday objectives will be located in the Beta Club’s Snow Lair.
As a reminder, the beta test will continue through August 29th, with supporters of the game receiving early access on Saturday, August 7th, and everyone else on Saturday, August 14th. The beta will be accessible for download three days before keys are handed out, but interested testers may sign up now to be considered for the beta.
