So this week a new petalcap location has opened in the WoW game. As far as I can tell it is at the end of the large chain of islands in the far northwest of the game world. The new Petalcap is located in the same area as the previous ones, right where the islands of Auberdine and Darkshore meet. The coordinates are -192, -25, -30. We’ve scoured the web for all the best places to get started on your petalcap related projects. Here are some of the best places we’ve found.

As you travel throughout Aeternum in New World, you’ll need to hunt down a variety of resources, and not all of them are simple to come by. The Petalcap is one among the most difficult to come by, at least in the early days of closed beta, with players having a hard time locating places from which to harvest it.
Petalcaps from the New World are needed for quest progression as well as the creation of specific kinds of potions. That’s why knowing a few places where you may find them will be very useful. At the same time, you may waste a lot of time wandering over the map looking for Fronded Petalcaps. We’ve already done a lot of that, and we’ve narrowed down one location where you’re more likely to run across them.
Keep an eye out for the green, pineapple-like plants shown above while looking for New World Petalcaps. If you want to obtain the resource correctly, it’s called Fronded Petalcaps, and you’ll need to harvest them using a sickle.
Many gamers would tell you that they were very uncommon during the closed beta’s first few days. It’s difficult to say if a low spawn rate or a mix of poor luck and other people collecting them first is to blame, but we’ve only managed to collect a few.
We’ve had the greatest success locating Fronded Petalcaps along the river and in other areas of the highlands along the boundary between New World’s Windsward and First Light domains.
At this point, it’s impossible to tell if they favor one kind of terrain over another, but scouting the border should help you find some quickly. Needless to say, keeping an eye out while exploring may lead you to additional spawning locations.
