Dungeons and Dragons Online is testing a revamp of the Epic Destinies system for one day only on PTS

Last week, we posted a few pictures of a new system in the works for Dungeons and Dragons Online. We know it’s been a long time coming, but good things come to those who wait, and after a long while, we’re finally ready to show you what’s going to happen to Epic Destinies in the next patch.

The Epic Destinies revamp is coming to the Free Realms test on PTS! This time, players can create a new character and start a new epic journey before the end of the day. So, make sure to log in and play today, and get ready to write your own epic tale!

word-image-9698 The developers of Dungeons and Dragons Online haven’t even finished working on Update 50, but they’re already anticipating an important feature in Update 51. More specifically, it’s a complete overhaul of the Epic Destinies system that appeared in the Lamannia PTS game as a preview. Only seven of the game’s twelve destinies are covered in this preview, but the changes are truly significant, including changes to the core mechanics of the system, an improved design paradigm, and various Feat changes in addition to the previously mentioned changes to the destiny trees. This preview and test event lasts for one day only and ends on Thursday the 17th in the late evening in the EDT time zone. June. A development event will take place during the test from 8pm to 10pm. EDT when DDO team members are available to collect feedback and answer questions in real time. After the test, players can expect things to be quiet on the Epic Destinies update news front for a while, as the update itself is still a few months away and developers will be focusing on Update 50.
