How to use Apple Pay to make easy quick payments

If you have an iPhone 6 or later, you can use Apple Pay to pay in stores, within apps, and on the web. Just add your credit, debit, or prepaid cards to Wallet and you’ll be able to use them with Apple Pay.

To pay in stores with your iPhone or Apple Watch, hold your device near the reader with yourfinger on TouchID. You don’t even need to wake up your device or open an app.

If you’re paying in an app, look for the Apple Pay logo or choose Apple Pay as your payment method. Then hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on TouchID. Or on your Mac, look for the Apple Pay logo in Safari and complete your purchase with your iPhone or Apple Watch.

You can also use Apple Pay to pay on the web with Safari. Look for the Apple Pay button, choose which card you want to use, and then confirm with TouchID.

How to pay someone with apple pay

If you want to pay someone else with Apple Pay, just ask them for their phone number. After you enter it into Wallet and confirm the payment, the other person will get an email or text message with a link to accept the payment.

They’ll also get a notification on their iPhone or Apple Watch. If they have an iOS device, they can add the payment to their Apple Pay Cash card. From there, they can use the money wherever they want or transfer it to their bank account.

If they don’t have an iOS device, they can still accept the payment by going to applepay.com on their Mac or PC. Just enter the amount you want to send and confirm with TouchID.

How to add your credit or debit card to Apple Pay

Adding a card to Apple Pay is easy. Just open Wallet and take a picture of your card or enter the information manually. Apple Pay will automatically detect the type of card you have and fill in the rest of the information for you.

If your card issuer supports it, you can also add your loyalty cards and rewards cards to Apple Pay. That way, you can get credit for every purchase you make.

You can also use Apple Pay to store your boarding pass and movie tickets. Just select the layout you want and show the barcode to the reader.

How to make a payment using Apple Pay

Making a payment with Apple Pay is quick and easy. You can use it in stores, within apps, and on the web.

In stores, just hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on TouchID. Or if you’re using an Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold the display of your watch up to the contactless reader.

In apps, look for the Apple Pay logo or choose Apple Pay as your payment method. Then hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on TouchID. Or on your Mac, look for the Apple Pay logo in Safari and complete your purchase with your iPhone or Apple Watch.

On the web, look for the Apple Pay button, choose which card you want to use, and then confirm with TouchID.
