How long did it take to build Rome

“Rome wasn’t built in day” There is of course no definitive answer. but the foundation date is generally considered to be 753 BC. Rome was created by warring tribes who lived along the River Tiber. Gradually these groups became more unified and crossed the river to conquer others. Rome grew from a small village into a major power that conquered much of Europe. The Palatine Hill and the Pomerium – the built up area of ancient Rome – were settled as early as 1000 BC but little seems to have been finalized or completed before 200 BC when intentions became less tenuous.
