The Doki Doki Literature Club is an upcoming visual novel that’s part horror, part comedy, and part romance. It was created by Team Salvato, the same team behind the incredible Steam release of last year’s game, Doki Doki Literature Club. Those of you who aren’t familiar with Doki Doki Literature Club, which was released on the Nintendo Switch in August of last year, know that it is a unique visual novel experience that is sure to leave an impression of fear, laughter, and even love.

Earlier this month, a new game was released in Japan called Doki Doki Literature Club. The game is a visual novel that follows multiple characters as they enter the school of a new transfer student named Loli. Loli is a shy and quiet girl, but she has an inner strength that she shows every once in a while, and leads to a lot of humor. The game is a spiritual successor to the 2015 Doki Doki Literature Club, which was a Tumblr-based game about an angst-ridden highschooler named Yuuta who enters a club under the pretense of improving his writing skills.
