The Doki Doki Literature Club is an upcoming visual novel that’s part horror, part comedy, and part romance. It was created by Team Salvato, the same team behind the incredible Steam release of last year’s game, Doki Doki Literature Club. Those of you who aren’t familiar with Doki Doki Literature Club, which was released on the Nintendo Switch in August of last year, know that it is a unique visual novel experience that is sure to leave an impression of fear, laughter, and even love.
Earlier this month, a new game was released in Japan called Doki Doki Literature Club. The game is a visual novel that follows multiple characters as they enter the school of a new transfer student named Loli. Loli is a shy and quiet girl, but she has an inner strength that she shows every once in a while, and leads to a lot of humor. The game is a spiritual successor to the 2015 Doki Doki Literature Club, which was a Tumblr-based game about an angst-ridden highschooler named Yuuta who enters a club under the pretense of improving his writing skills. The premise of the game is that shortly after the player joins the club, a murder occurs and the remaining members must flee the school,

In the video below, the creator of the series, Dan Salvato, introduces the world of Sayori, Natsuki, Yuri and Monica to all potential members. This version will offer high resolution graphics and new features and content. This title is designed to allow players to re-evaluate their experiences with fiction and think more deeply about how they process it mentally and emotionally. Using psychological terror to deeply frustrate players has proven to be an effective way to achieve this goal. The novelty of this edition lies in the secondary stories unrelated to the events of the original game, showing the evolution of relationships between the members of the club.
