The sap plant (also known as the “Sap Stalk”) is a plant that grows in many different environments across the world. It’s a shrub-like plant that can reach 6 feet in height and has long red or yellow flowers that protrude from it’s branches. The sap it produces is used by various cultures across the world as a natural adhesive. When the sap is mixed with other substances, it can be used as an adhesive to bind things together, such as to mend a torn shirt.

On the other hand, it also makes paintballs, which increase the chances of a monster retreating to its lair, where you can find its eggs and better determine which monsters you’ll get next time.
Unfortunately, finding the Sapplant itself in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is not that simple. Every time you pick up grass in the open world, there’s a chance you’ll get a sap plant. However, this chance is quite small.

We’ve had better luck finding Sap Plant in Harzgai Rocky Hill than in other areas, but we can’t call it a favorite, as there seems to be a significant amount of luck getting weed.
But not everything is bad, at least when it comes to practical applications. Flash bombs and paintballs can be purchased from merchants in town, and we never had a problem getting a zenny, as there are always recurring subtasks that can be completed.
