Pokémon Go has been buzzing with life since its release three weeks ago. In that time, it has become the most popular app in the App Store, with over 500 million downloads. The BBC estimates that the game is responsible for $2.3 billion in revenue in just a month. In short, Pokémon Go is a commercial success, and it is clear that it was the bringer of great benefits to the world.
It’s hard to believe that just five years ago, Pokemon Go was becoming a phenomenon summer, with waves of players traipsing through cities and across the countryside in search of elusive creatures. In those five years, the game has proven to be very profitable, as Niantic has stated that it has brought in $5 billion in revenue so far.
