You can’t get any more of a classic game series than The Witcher, a fantasy role-playing adventure game based on a series of novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. So, when The Witcher became available on the PC, I was obviously excited. However, I was a bit puzzled when I saw that the game was released for the PC in a rather limited form. The reason why it was released in such limited form was not because it lacked content; on the contrary, The Witcher has a really long story and well over 300 locations to explore, and is filled with a great variety of monsters to slay.
We’ve just over a month to wait until The Witcher: Monster Slayer is released on PC. Don’t think that the console versions are going to be a patchwork job. In the games case, CD Projekt Red added a few things to it, but skipped over others.
The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a new game in the “The Witcher” series, which was developed by CD Projekt Red. The game takes place in the universe of The Witcher and features the same main characters as the other games, along with some of the intriguing new characters introduced in the “Blood and Wine” expansion. The game’s plot centers on Geralt of Rivia, a witcher (who has the unique ability to slay monsters) taking on the role of a monster hunter.
As the universe based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s books continues to capture the attention of more and more people, publisher and developer Spokko is approaching the release date of its augmented reality role-playing game The Witcher:. Monster Fighter.
With every game that includes the name Geralt of Rivia, fans are wondering if they can run PC on Steam, so let’s see what happens.
The plot takes place long before the time of Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher: Monster Slayer has its fair share of quests where you have to fight monsters that you know well from CD Projekt Red’s RPGs.
What’s new is the augmented reality component, which uses the strange magic of modern technology (and cell phones) to make these monsters appear in places like the park you walk through every morning. But does that mean we can’t expect a PC release date soon?
Even though the mobile game doesn’t come out until the end of the month, on the 21st. The Witcher comes out in July: Monster Slayer currently has no release date for PC. You’ll also have a hard time finding it on Steam.
This isn’t too surprising, since it’s built around an augmented reality component and desktops aren’t that mobile. Of course, that’s no guarantee that The Witcher: Monster Slayer will never have a release date on PC, it’s just not likely to appear on Steam anytime soon.
It’s not really a new game, but if you’ve already played the main games to exhaustion and replayed them, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales offers a different take on the universe. This spin-off was originally designed as a single-player mode of the Gwent trading card game, but has since grown into a (pretty good) game in its own right.
We will update this article as soon as there is any news about the possible release of The Witcher: Monster Slayer for PC as soon as we know more.
